A devout humanitarian, Desiree is involved with a number of nonprofit and philanthropic organizations working to combat critical societal issues. Dedicated to giving a voice to the voiceless and those silenced by systemic oppression, she is a founder and board member of both the United Justice Coalition and REFORM Alliance. Through her board memberships and within Team Roc in support of our social and racial injustice pillar, Desiree works to accelerate criminal justice reform. Speaking on Team Roc’s ongoing efforts, Desiree stated, “We stand up and we defend. In the face of hate and in the face of injustice, we’re going to stand up and we’re going to be there and that’s because those are our core values. It’s what we believe in. It’s who we are. It’s our moral consciousness.”

As an executive producer, Desiree brings further awareness to antiquated judicial policies and procedures, extending her time and expertise to projects like the investigative documentary, Exposing Parchman. The documentary, which aired on A&E in 2023, brought exposure to inequities in the Mississippi state correctional system and deadly conditions endured by those incarcerated at Parchman Prison. She also served as an executive producer for the documentary, Free Meek, produced by Roc Nation, which chronicles the wrongful re-imprisonment of musician Meek Mill and the probation crisis in the United States. With Roc Nation and Team Roc, Desiree has supported the Cause Village at the Made in America music festival, the Everyone’s Child PSA campaign and documentary, the Meek Mill holiday toy drive, the Until Freedom Rally for Breonna Taylor, TIDAL Aid for Hurricane Maria, TIDAL X benefit concerts, and the donation of production and logistical assistance for justice rallies. In her executive role at Roc Nation, Desiree further exemplifies a deep commitment to Team Roc’s education pillar. She helped establish the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports and Entertainment at Long Island University in Brooklyn to help guide the next generation of artists and leaders in entertainment and close the college completion gap by providing scholarships to students in need of financial aid. For her contributions as CEO of Roc Nation and dedication to advancing philanthropic initiatives, in 2022, Desiree received the Community Quarterback Award at United Way NYC’s 29th Annual Gridiron Gala, and in 2025 was recognized with the Harry Belafonte Social Justice Award from The Gathering for Justice.

In addition to her work at Roc Nation, Desiree is the Director of Operations for The 40/40 Club, a luxe sports lounge which she established with JAŸ-Z and Juan Perez in 2003. As a proven business executive and thought leader, Desiree has been named to several prestigious industry lists, including the Billboard Power 100 Leaderboard and Billboard’s Power 100 Multisector Executives, as recently as 2026. In 2026, she was also inducted into the Billboard Women in Music Hall of Fame and named a PollStar Impact 50 Honoree. Desiree was also a commanding force in the inception of the Roc Nation and NFL partnership that made Roc Nation the league’s Live Music Entertainment Strategists, leading to multiple Emmy nominations, with the most recent for The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny. During her career, she has been honored by publications such as Variety, Entrepreneur, and The Hollywood Reporter for her influential role in impacting women and elevating women’s voices, as well as being an authority and architect in the industry.
